This was actually the piece that started it all, focusing on percussion. And I had to add my favorite instrument, the bass clarinet. The intro and outro are foreboding and heavier in spirit. Sandwiched in between is a mostly happy and light piece with a lot of interaction between percussion. The light does shine through for a moment.

Another stellar release from this long-lived ensemble. Though the King Crimson influence is obvious & that comparison unavoidable, these guys have made many great recordings that can't be categorized as 'mere copies'. The perfect balance of aggressive riffing and serene soundscapes.

In 1981 I was with my father in a Tangerine Dream concert in the Stadthalle Bremen. This piece of music brought both memories of this event and a very fresh note on top. Wonderful music beyond time and technology.
